I really like that new winter look with the thick ‘bandeau’ and long hair. This time, it isn’t someone I saw on the streets of Toronto, just someone picked out of my imagination.
There are more fashion sketches on my sister’s blog though, with drawings from people she photographs. You can view them at ‘Toronto Street Fashion.blogspot.ca’, along with the awesome photos my sister takes with her film camera!
I don’t know about you, but there is nothing worse than a photobooth picture. No matter how natural you try to be, the end result is always a distorted attempt at being photogenic.
I had to get my visa picture done the other day…and this is what I got.
Hi all,
I wanted to announce that my latest picture book 'Stone Hatchlings' is now available in your local store and online on Amazon!
It is the third book of a series of picturebooks with author Sarah Tsiang, published by Annick Press.
We were the first to get to this secluded temple in the suburbs of Kyoto.
In order to walk on the wooden platform, you need to take off your shoes…so we did.
By the time we left, there were a group of locals who did the same. When we turned around and looked at the shoes neatly placed at the bottom of the stairs, we could too easily see which ones were ours…so obviously placed facing sideways
How embarrassing sometimes to be a tourist!

Hi guys!...how long as it been?
sorry for the long silence and the empty page the last couple weeks.
I was actually away on an 'inspirational' trip to Japan!
Unfortunately, I got sick the minute I got off the plane back home, so all I can show you is a quick scan of my first page in my travel sketchbook. I will colour images and scan more soon!
bare with me! and hope you enjoy this little sample!
